N??? serves as the channel of life energy, and is a key term related to the completion of Yoga.
It is difficult for n??? to grasp its existence, but the internal circulation of life energy takes place in the body and affects the beginning, continuation, and end of life activities. However, N???¡¯s status was undervalued compared to its importance. N??? has emerged as an important position in achieving sam?dhi since the 8-9th centuries when Ha?ha Yoga was established. It was not until this time that n??? appeared to be theoretically organized. The Yogay?jnavalkya established in the 9-10th century explains in detail the system of n??? and the conditions, methods, and periods of n??? purification(n????odhana).
It is n????odhana that n??? occupies a central and decisive position in yoga practice. If n??? is not purified and full of impurities, pr??a cannot rise through su?um??. Only by n????odhana can the ultimate goal of performance be realized. In Yogay?jnavalkya, it is introduced in detail, including the preconditions, places, and methods of n????odhana. This study aims to discuss n????odhana described in Yogay?jnavalkya.
